
Cynthia Ann Crawford was born on February 20, 1966. She is an American actress, model and television host. She was a model as well as an iconic figure on magazine covers runways, runways and fashion advertisements in the 1980s and 1990s. In the following years, she started acting and also started a business. Her sophomore year at high school saw her receive an inquiry from an local clothing store regarding modeling work. She later discovered that it was a prank phone call by two of her classmates. Crawford was contacted by a different store the next year to model. They also held an fashion shoot. In her junior year local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included photographing another college student to be that week's coed on the DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to take her picture for the publication. The result was her first ever cover. The positive feedback and the photograph inspired her to get modeling. She began with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. In 1983, she entered Elite's Look of the Year contest aged 17 and reached the national finals.
